The Design Hackathon was organised by Doon University in partnership with Namami Gange, a government initiative and sponsered by Wacom in February 2023.

‘Making livelihood of the people on and around the Ganga River better’. (Provide solution in 48 hours)

Designing a waterway trading system for traders, sellers, buyers, and boat owners on the Ganga River in accordance with its Ghats. Sellers and buyers will be connected exclusively through boat riders, eliminating the middlemen that are currently involved in existing trade systems.

The project aims at making the trade on Ganga River Ghats more cost efficient, time efficient and fair via waterways. The solution for this is the Naiya app which connects seller and buyers directly and eliminates the middlemen in the existing system.
